Kaila and Ethan

Yesterday, I had the immense pleasure of capturing a couples session! Ethan and Kaila have been married for about 3 months. They love laughing, having fun, and each other. You can feel the love oozing from them in every image! We did a few creative shots, but most of these are candids. They posed themselves so naturally, that I didn't want to force them into poses that I knew would end up looking, well, posed! So they laughed and joked and picked on each other, and we had an awesome time! I hope that you enjoy their photos as much as I do!

Model Search

Casting Call!

This spring and summer, I am wanting to do a few creative shoots of my own to enhance my portfolio and make my clients see that I don't just do your normal portrait photography. The first shoot I'm planning will be in May.

What I am looking for:

*A young girl around the 6-9 age range.
*Must be comfortable in front of a camera
*Takes direction well
*Has personality and imagination
*Is girly and loves fairytales.

This shoot will be a fairly large shoot with a hair stylist, multiple assistants, large props, lights, costumes/outfits and fun :)

If you think your little girl would be good for this part, please email me at whimsicalmomentsbylydia@yahoo.com.

Please include a photo and a little information about your little girl and why she would be good for this part. Please be from Fayette, Bourbon or Harrison counties. And willing to travel to shoot which will take place in one of these counties depending on the location chosen.

There is no cost for this shoot. I will, in exchange for your time, compensate you with digital images from the shoot.

This is not a contest. It is a casting call for a model. I will personally choose the child that I feel best matches the nature of this shoot. It will be fun for everyone involved. :)

Favorite photos of 2012

I am jumping on the bandwagon and doing a blog post about 2012. On a personal note, 2012 brought the birth of my daughter, my first wedding anniversary, and the incredibly hard challenge of learning to be a stay-at-home mom.I started my photography as a hobby. Playing around with my mother-in-law's camera. I FELL IN LOVE. It's like I was able to finally see in a photo what I saw in my head. The ability to capture that moment forever was...addicting. Once I purchased my own camera I felt unstoppable. I felt like I could do anything I set my mind to. And the business took off. But my successful first year is credited only to the clients that believed in my ability. You are the ones that enabled my dream to take off. So, for that, I thank you. Here is a recap of my first year of photography. I am astounded at how far I've come even this first year. I hope you enjoy these I much as I do.
